We use your data to: (a) provide and operate the Platform; (b) authenticate your identity; (c) display your profile to other users; (d) send service notifications and OTP codes via SMS; (e) compute reliability scores and professional rankings; (f) detect and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Twilio: Your phone number is shared with Twilio to deliver OTP authentication codes. Twilio's privacy policy applies to this processing.
Firebase (FCM): Device push tokens are shared with Google Firebase to deliver push notifications, if you have enabled notifications.
Anthropic: If you use the job-analysis feature, your free-text description is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. No personal identifiers are included in this request.
We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database and Redis cache. Profile photos are stored in the database as binary data. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections and JWT-based authentication. No system is perfectly secure; use the Platform at your own risk.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access the data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your account and data; object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@nearwize.com.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
We store your authentication token in the browser's localStorage to keep you logged in across sessions. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
The Platform is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided data to us, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
